Simon Kennedy managed not to lose money at his first Melbourne International Comedy Festival show "Fishing for Cigars" in 2001 at Melbourne's classy Chaise Lounge.

2002 was a very fruitful year for Simon with a successful one-man show “The Angina Monologues” at Sydney’s famed Old Fitzroy Hotel Theatre, the show was also a feature at the 2002 Melbourne Fringe Festival.

November 2006 sees "Simon Kennedy Stands Up!" hit the Brisbane Powerhouse for 5 nights.

Simon can occasionally be seen treading the boards in efforts such as “The Theatre Sports Celebrity Challenge” at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre.

For the 4 years Simon has hosted “The Show With No Name” on NOVA 96.9fm in Sydney. He then went on to hosts “Kennedy & Philp” Nova Sydney's Saturday morning Breakfast Show for two years.

Now Simon heads-up "The Nova 9s with Simon & Justine" 5 nights a week on Brisbane's Nova 106.9 (with a little help from his work experience DJ friend 'Bevan').

Simon has won Commercial Radio Industry Awards (ACRAs) for Sketch Comedy and Radio Production, and has subsequently been featured as a regular wit and character voice specialist on radio stations across the country. Simon is “the guy who does the funny stuff between the songs on Nova”, in fact he is the resident comedy writer/character voice in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth.

Simon’s TV appearances include The Today Show (Channel 9), The Comedy Channel, Joker Poker Series 1 & 2(Channel 10), Harry’s Practice (Channel 7), as well as numerous short films and television commercials for the UK and Australia.
