Danny started performing comedy at Belfast's notorious comedy Bear pit The Empire in 2002, and since then has been receiving plaudits from audiences and critics alike. More recently Danny was invited to grace the stage for a one off Channel 4 event which boasted the most exciting new talent emerging from the UK and Ireland, which he did with aplomb.
Last year Danny beat rivals from across Ireland to win the coveted “Magners Best New Comedian 2007” award.
Still not content, Danny wrote and developed his own BBC Radio sitcom last year entitled Final Vinyl, which was so popular, the BBC now have Danny developing a brand new television format for the comedy unit at BBC3.
Danny also writes sketches and contributes material for “Tilt” The new radio sketch show on BBC7.
Danny has also written for television at home, writing comedy Monologues for an entertainment format on UTV.
When Danny was a toddler, he would randomly stand up, in rooms full of people and talk relentlessly about the things he found confusing, he also managed to get everything he came into contact with sticky.
Well not a lot had changed, well yes, he’s got taller, but he’s still talking, and slightly worryingly, still rather sticky.
Sometimes slightly charming, sometimes self deprecating, Danny likes to take to the stage and talk about life as he see’s it, because as Danny puts it “Isn’t that what I’m supposed to do?”
