David Spade is one of my favourite comedians and has been ever since I saw the first episode of 'Just Shoot Me!' where he plays a kaniving little guy named Dennis Finch. Though most people just call him Finch.
Finch works at as a secretary (though he doesn't like being called that) for Jack Gallo, co-founder of Blush Magazine. His co-workers on the programme are Maya Gallo (played by Laura San Giacomo), Nina Van Horn (played by Wendie Mallick) and Elliott DiMauro (played by Enrico Colantoni). Finch doesn't have his mind on work for most of the time. He is usually too busy making practical jokes or perving on beautiful women. At least one time it gained him a wife, though he had to lie an awful lot to get her which is why she divorced him.
Just Shoot Me! can be seen on channel ten. Just Shoot Me! has been referred to as the new Seinfeld as for how popular it is becoming.
Other things he's worked on besides Just Shoot Me! are many films. One of which is called Senseless where he plays a rich snob determined to be the best college guy no matter what.
Another film is called Lost & Found. This film was released on video in 1999 and he helped write it too. It is very funny if I do say so myself. He plays a guy named Dylan Ramsey who falls in love with a French girl who moved into his building complex. His character is much like Dennis Finch in my opinion in that he does everything possible to get the girl he wants. A word of advice, if you have a crush on this guy, Lost & Found is the movie for you because you get to see him at one point of the show only wearing his boxer shorts. Well there's even a point where you can see him walking around having lost all his clothes in a poker game and all he wears is his mail bags over his front and back private areas. He also sings in this movie so that's a bonus.
David has also been on Saturday Night Live a number of times and this show, if I'm not mistaken, can be seen on Foxtel's thecomedychannel or Arena.
Okay, David has been on other films, which include Coneheads, Reality Bites, Light Sleeper, P.C.U., 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag, Police Academy 4, A Very Brady Sequel, Tommy Boy and Black Sheep. He was also a voice on the Rugrats movie, Kingdom of the Sun (It's called 'The Emperor's new Groove' in Australia) and Bevis and Butthead Do America.
David had been starring as a cartoon character named Sammy in an animated TV show called Sammy in the US. It was based on his real life and axed shortly after it first aired.
His most recent film is (The adventures of) Joe Dirt. He was in Sydney, on Rove [live] and heard on triple J radio with Adam Spencer and Wil Anderson to promote this film. It was released in cinemas on May 24th 2001. The film was produced by Adam Sandler.
